I forgot who but someone said apparently no one was able to put the MG Sword Impulse in this pose yet… but it can pull it off pretty easily ^^;. I spent a lot more time trying to take the perfect picture of it than posing it. I think I came close enough. Click to see the actual size if you find it blurry.
As for the entire review, I hate to say this but… I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it any time soon. This week I am just… wow. crushed by many aspects of life at the moment. Since I won’t have the review ready any time soon, I’ll let you all have a glimpse of the photoshoot. Just so you all know…whenever one of my photoshoots seemingly takes forever, it usually means I’m having too much fun or just putting some extra effort into the photos (usually both) ^^. Hope it’ll worth the wait at the end for all of you. I am striving to complete everything by this coming Thursday but we all know how accurate I am with my ETA…

Very gppd job you did there, gotta love how clean the panel lines are.. Did you use Tamiya spraycans or something? Is the whole thing painted or just the re-colored parts?
May 16, 2009 at 3:02 AM
so we were right…it IS a sword Impulse ^^
May 16, 2009 at 4:08 AM
I’m the one who said that about the pose. I just thought it was weird for Dalong in particular to be so lazy in posing it so I assumed there were weight issues.
May 16, 2009 at 4:39 AM
Great Z! That pose is from the manual right?
So, is there any problems like weight or weak joints?
May 16, 2009 at 5:23 AM
poses and pics are SICK as usual!
May 16, 2009 at 6:26 AM
@ Arein,
This is the actual mg sword impulse kit, which Z said he wouldn’t buy since he already had 2 mg force impulse gundams.

Very awesome shots there. and of course, take your time working things out. It’s hard to have fun if something serious is nagging at your conscience.

@7swords
My bad.. Don’t know anything about the SEED kits since I don’t like the show.

Amazing, loving the poses you put him in, and take your time bro, but I have faith you’ll finish it by the end Thursday ^^ and hope things go well, hate to see you think about what I thought about, may you feel better and comeback strong :D
MG SWORD IMPULSE >.<
May 16, 2009 at 5:14 PM
Sorry if this is a n00b question, but what kind of stand is that? It looks different than the ones Bandai has for sale.
May 16, 2009 at 5:24 PM
By the way Z, I think the beams look much better now that you have painted them in clear red. ^_^
May 16, 2009 at 10:01 PM
Arein, I wouldn’t know how to panel line with spray cans ^^;. I just use Gundam marker and nothing else. My panel line style is the extreme opposite of Dalong’s (that’s how I would like to put it).
Acewhatever, ah! No weight issues there ^^;
Eyeshield, actually that pose is on the side of the box. It’s not from the manual.
Busterbeam, thanks man ^^
Gunthetra, it’s the hasegawa stand for mechs. I much prefer that over an action base due to its simplicity.
Everyone else, thank you for the feedback! I’ll make sure the review won’t disappoint from the long wait ^^;

Though from the photos it does look like the Force Impulse, I kind-of got confused from past comments and entries about what you were planning to do with another Force Impulse… *shrug* Oh, well. I do like the pictures there, and it makes Okawara’s design of the “[insert backpack here] Impulse” appealing, much like how those designing and making HCM-Pro figures can do that (most of the time).
I do have a sort-of off-topic question: As to Gundam anime, would you recommend SEED/Destiny or pass on it? From what very little I’ve seen (which is basically the “OMNI/Alliance/Rengou vs. ZAFT” games and a couple others) and the comments of others, I’m veering towards passing on it, but I’d like your two cents anyway.
May 16, 2009 at 11:32 PM
Oh yeah, the box. I see. ^^
@Siroh32, may i recommend? IMHO SEED is pretty worth to watch. But not to Destiny. That’s on term of story, Though the MSs are pretty cool. And i like the soundtracks very much. That’s my opinion, hehe :D
May 17, 2009 at 12:23 AM
i wasnt able to watch seed but was able to with destiny. i think its boring. lots of chitchat and stuff. i just hate it when they make an anime with 50 episodes when it can just be compressed to 25 episodes. so i dont recommend watching seed. it would be better if they just cut out all the chitchat and did a lot of fighting scenes like what they did to 00. just my opinion. >.<
May 17, 2009 at 12:33 AM
SEED/Destiny is more of an eyecandy series IMO. SEED is the more bearable of the two, but I’d recommend watching both in their Special Edition/movie format.
May 17, 2009 at 1:06 AM
Siroh, I’d say watch like the first SEED movie (to fastforward most of the beginning junk) then watch the episodes (since the series do get better starting at episode 30 till the end). SEED Destiny… I’d say avoid to save yourself the scar but hmm… I’m gonna write up a post about it maybe tomorrow ^^;
May 17, 2009 at 2:44 AM
It’s looking great. I think that it’s even better then MG Force Impulse, maybe because of the color scheme and pair of swords ^^ .
I must admit that you did great pics, I really have to learn how to make some good photos, since I’m not so good at this XD
May 17, 2009 at 6:51 AM
Im thinking of repainting my force impulse, and adding destiny ebm accesories to create destiny impulse gundam XD
May 17, 2009 at 10:21 AM
Nice. I always liked the red/black colors for the Sword Impulse.
The thing I don’t get is the faith emblem. Shinn didn’t become a member until after he already had Destiny and Luna never got promoted.
