It was a tough battle… many casualties on both side… but the war is finally over. Peace has come at last. blah blah blah. So yes… I am pleased to announce the winner of this Gundam Fight. Congratulations to Chris and his Avalanche Exia vs Saviour Gundam Battle. Here are some of the hightlights:
I gotta hand it to him for the use of beam sabers and effect parts. The camera angles complimented the dynamic poses very well. Just fight fight fight till the very end. He covered most of what I wanted to see out of this contest.
Honorable mentions goes to Acedude and his entry, Battle 2:

Very creative here as well and there is never enough hotblood in Gundam.
Also Beamknight87 and his entry, Battle 4:

Definitely has the clearest shots out of all the entries. Crystal clear.
Let’s all give ourselves a hand for the effort we put into this contest. Don’t be let down if you didn’t win, there will be more chances ^^. As of a matter of fact, I already know what to do for the next contest! Even though you might not win the prize, I hope most of you actually gained some new ideas from seeing other people’s work. Seeing everyone’s entries gave me some new photography ideas to play around with :D. Lastly, I hope you all enjoyed this and had a little fun at the very least. Thank you all for participating!
Chris, I know what you want already but I’ll email you again just to confirm so wait a bit ^^. Again, congratulations!

grats’ chris! =D
June 25, 2009 at 1:32 AM
Congrats Chris! =D I wonder what you are getting…
I guess I made mine a bit too fast forwarded near the end(Battle 10). Maybe I should have made Astray Green make another kick near the final part but Sword Impulse slashing his legs off. XP Ah, the lost opportunities.
Though, I guess I’ll have to be more creative to impress Z like Chris did. ^^;
June 25, 2009 at 4:27 AM
Yay! Thanks, Z! Great work too, Acedudeyeah and Beamknight87.
To the others, it’s great to be competing with strong competitors too. XP
Hats off to the Erupting Burning Falcon Punch.
And to Beamknight87 who have to walk downstairs to pick up the Gundam’s head which falls off.XD
That makes me the 3rd winner of Z’s contest, with the first 2 being won by Gordonator and Tachikaze (come to think of it, they never comment much after they won?).

That 136.jpg is my favorite of all the pictures.. :3
June 25, 2009 at 5:48 AM
Congratz to the winner ! Gotta be well prepare next time then.
=D
June 25, 2009 at 5:54 AM
sbhboi, which one was yours?
June 25, 2009 at 6:52 AM
Congrats Chris! I had a feeling that battle was gonna win, the use of all the action and poses was amazing, great job Chris:D
Congrats to all other contestants too, they were some really good ones out their that I was blown away by how creative you guys are :D
I had no chance to win unfortunately ^^; too much talky talky and not much one punch two punch, guess I learned my lesson :P This was really fun and I can’t wait for the next :D
June 25, 2009 at 7:22 AM
Congratulations Chris! The whole beam saber spam was simply priceless! I loved it!
Guess for the next time I’ll pay further attention to the environment and try more dynamic poses and angles… oh well, mind telling us what model you will be asking for?
June 25, 2009 at 7:53 AM
@beamknight87: I’ll give you a hint. Since it’s a HG below 1500 yen, don’t expect much, okay?
Um….not exactly Nobel Gundam, but a red transformable MS from Gundam 00.
Got it? XP
June 25, 2009 at 8:57 AM
YAYYYY! Congrats!
Thanks for the honorable mention. I wanted to come out and say “Battle 2 is mine!!!” but I didn’t know if it would have been good contestant etiquette. Try to keep it anonymous?
But yeah, thanks a lot for all the comments, guys!
You guys had me running around the friend’s house I was in yelling various phrases at my friend.
I reeally put a lot of work into it.
I would have liked to win but I’m okay just seeing all the feedback I got.
June 25, 2009 at 9:08 AM
@Roy: Yours was Throne Zwei in Battle 12?
@Acedudeyeah: If you come out and say battle 2 is yours in yelling mode would have been hotblooded like your entry. lol
Really, yours were undoubtedly the most entertaining.
June 25, 2009 at 9:35 AM
@Chris: Yup unfortunately xD
June 25, 2009 at 9:52 AM
Thanks! I entered my school’s homecoming lip sync contest as the only solo act in its history. I didn’t win top 3 but everyone told me I they shoulda made a most energetic/awesome award just for me.
So this is ok for me too! :D
I just noticed the effect part around Exia’s foot. like an earth tremor!
Did all those beam sabers come with that avalanche kit? and can they fit all around him in those places like that?? haha
June 25, 2009 at 10:35 AM
@AceDudeyeah: The earth tremor is an accesory part from Mikoto (that’s her name, I think) from Mai-HiMe’s figurines.
Besides the only 2 beam sabers hanging down from the skirt, there were actually spaces on the armours of Avalanche to insert the beam sabers. lol
The beam sabers, eh? Haha, I figure someone would ask. 4 from Avalanche Exia, 2 from *ahem*Saviour, 2 from Force Impulse and 2 from Freedom.
Ah~too bad, you had an another almost win event too, huh? That means you’ll have more chances to win next time. XP
Just for the record, I still think Z’s Gundam fight looks better to me; the flow of the fight is smoother and cooler. XD
June 25, 2009 at 12:20 PM
I was wondering about where that piece of earth came from. Adds a bit of spice to that… Sekiha Tenkyoken.
Acedudeyeah, lip sync contest? what song did you lip sync? ^^. Glad you enjoyed the contest and I like your sense of humor. I’ll be looking forward to more of your participation in the future :P
June 25, 2009 at 5:15 PM
*phew* Well this sure blew by fast. I was all set for the props and dings when the first half came up yesterday but I was still having problems posting comments from the office AGAIN.
Wow, there was no way I could have possibly come up with anything remotely creative as some of the top fights here. I shudder at the thought of what Z will make us go through for the next contest ^_^;
Congrats Chris! I have to ask: How to did you attach all those beam sabers to the arm? I can’t see any strings or duct tape in the photos, but I noticed some kind of florescent green on the handles.
June 25, 2009 at 5:48 PM
Chris, are there beam saber pegs for all the beam sabers seen in the pics?
Z, yeah I enjoyed the contest! How about my poses, eh? Better than dalong’s?
I think I made my own mod! Everyone else is busy cutting or adding plastic parts and metal to their models, I just add a strip of cloth! haha
Any chance we could get a hint what the next contest will be about?
Soap opera Gundam? haha
I lip synced “Skill!” by Jam Project! There really is an exclamation mark in the song because it’s so awesome. Awesome enough that I wanted to share this song with the entire school.
It is my theme song! Cause it talks about people rising to the challenge and flying to the sky to defeat the iron fist or somethin’.
Interestingly enough, I discovered this song looking for the last fight between Captain Gundam and Commander Sazabi.
Best Song Ever. And here it’s nicely set to SD Gundam!
June 25, 2009 at 6:57 PM
I just have to ask this…. AceWhatever and AceDudeyeah are 2 different persons? lol I’ve seen AceWhatever before, then suddenly another Ace pops out. XD
To reply the question…yes, AceWhatever, unfortunately, I cannot hide the “green” thing when I have to readjust the beam sabers and press on it harder so it’ll stick. Yes, it’s the blu-tack, the same stuff I used for the Kame Hame Ha.
No, AceDudeyeah, there’re no pegs. Oh, I know it quite well too, the song Skill. I tried to sing it too because it’s so HOTblooded. It’s one of JAM Project’s top song too. I see, it’s really used well with the SD Gundam video, and I also see where you get your battle inspiration from. ERUPTING BURNING…
June 25, 2009 at 7:11 PM
Oh, I am very much a unique entity from AceWhatever.
ahh. so it was a kamehameha. not a tenkyoken.
so you sticky tacked all those beam sabers to his foot, around his wrist, etc??
Well, my inspiration wasn’t from that song. I’ve known that song for over a year now. Listen to it almost everyday along with my other fav’s. haha.
An influence on my entry is my other hobby. I’m a semi-professional super smash brothers player! Captain Falcon is my secondary character.
June 25, 2009 at 8:13 PM
@acedudeyeah: For the full body beam sabers pose, only the 2 hanging beam sabers from the skirt is sticky tacked. The others, including the feet, are inserted in nooks and crannies of Avalanche’s armor.
