MG Exia is finally looking good…

1

Finally looking good to me that is. Now THAT I like ^^. Sleek yet still muscular and a sense of power. So I’m guessing the older photos were just at bad angles… but that’s another bad thing for the Exia then if it looks good only at certain angles.

Finally got a good look at the GN Sword. It’s almost as if Bandai heard my cries and decided to fix this model up :D (haha sike). The MG Exia also have other impressive features too. So just like that… I am finally looking forward to reviewing my MG Exia Ignited Ignition Mode when it arrives at my doorstep ^^. Might need waterslide for it too… hmm…

Stuff jacked from Anime to Gundamu desu.

I saw the new poses for MG Exia from Ngee Khiong and changed my opinion on it since then too. I seriously hope I can get the Ignition Mode because instead of ordering it, I will get it from my local store.

  2. Chaosblade Says:

It’s about time they get some good angle shots in.

  3. eighteleven Says:

Wow MG Exia’s looking better and better! Good thing I booked the ignition mode from my local store. Can’t wait till I get it myself @_@ too bad I’ll have to wait till early August though since the store won’t have it on the day itself. Still, totally excited for it!

A definite in my list. Just thinking of whether to pre-order the cheaper Ignition Mode or just settle for the normal mode. THe only thing i like on the Ignition Mode are the chrome parts :)

  5. tsukinari Says:

Totally agreed, the very first shot kinda makes me ‘meh’ a bit, but after more shots and features revealed, its getting better and awesome, ive gotta say this might the best MG so far XD, worth my waiting and good thing I’ve pre-ordered the Ignition Mode ^^;;. The first shot already look awesome even its straight build. Just took a look at the 2nd pic bottom, comparison between MG Exia and 1/100 NG Exia XD..

Oh Btw… thanks Z for linking to my blog ^^

  6. Hono-san Says:

Woah, Exia is looking much better than before. I finaly decided that I would get it. Some of the features are great for the MG line. I hope they continue to make them this articulated.
And what’s the difference between Ignition and normal mode? I wasn’t paying much attention when the news first came out lolz.

  7. eighteleven Says:

Well from what I know, normal mode is the mg exia as it is while the ignition mode includes the exia found in the normal mode, 2 LED lights for the gn drive and probably the chest? anyone can confirm what the 2nd LED is for? You’ll also get chrome plated parts for his swords and other parts and finally you’ll get the parts to turn the exia into his R2 version which includes the cloth, broken face? and broken gn sword. Anything I missed? Please correct me if I’m sadly mistaken with all the info I just said lol XD

  8. rndm Says:

Luckily I already reserved one Ignition Mode from a local seller. ^^

I wonder if the repair parts comes in runner pieces or molded in one piece each, fully painted? XP

This year really got quite a number of models going into the “buy list”. X3

  9. ercjohn Says:

that’s one good looking exia. it looks so cool already… too bad im gonna have to get HGUC kshatriya first before mg exia. XD

  10. eighteleven Says:

rndm, I really hope those repair parts are fully painted, cause I can’t paint for my life XD

  11. squacker Says:

Hey Z. I am thinking of doing the same as you with your MG Unicorn. It REALLY inspired me. Where did you buy your tamiya x-27? if you could post a link, that would be great. I was also considering on tamiya clear red SPRAY. Which one would you reccommend? Spray or Handbrushing?

  12. neosonic Says:

Z.. I just noticed that ur website is no longer called “home look” but “real”…
nice man, u deserve it :)

  13. YessMasster Says:

@Hono-san: Ignition mode has: A) 2 leds (1 for gn drive, 1 for chest gn capacitor), B) parts to turn Exia to Exia Repair, C) metalic coated blades of Exia’s swords

  14. Roy Says:

Wow that Exia looks awesome, I like how it’s both slim and built, a bony Exia wouldn’t be too appealing if you ask me :)

The ignition mode is a definite must!! Too bad I don’t have money to reserve one, guess I’ll have to settle for the expensive one in the future :/ Unless I run into some money >.>

  15. Q Says:

Hm I wanna settle with the NG 1/100 Roll Out Colour, but this looks really pretty and sleek.

    Must resist… -_-;;

  16. Z Says:

I do wonder how they’re going to give us the TerminExia’s face… hope it is not plain white or gray. Well… either way, I have plans to take care of any half-assing Bandai plans on pulling ^^;. I’m also contemplating on topcoating the metallic blades to give it that cold metal look… hmm… shouldn’t reveal too much of my plans on this kit yet..

squacker, save yourself $5+ and just grab a bottle instead. You have more control over what you paint and where you cover… and most importantly, exactly how much paint you want to apply. Kinda hard to control all that with spray can. Got it at rainbowten.co.jp along with a bunch of my other models. I suggest you go looking around your own hobby stores before ordering from Japan… unless you do live in Japan (but then you wouldn’t have to ask me this question :P).

    Q, no Q no… give in :) it’s a lot more painless haha…

  17. yoseh Says:

Sweet, I am so exited about this kit’s release, I pray to God that they come out with Kyrios and Dynames…

  18. Zro Says:

Thanks for reminding me to go out and reserve Ignition Mode tomorrow! I know I won’t be sorry.

P.S.: By this time tomorrow, I should FINALLY update my blog with my review for the Crossbone. I’m gonna make sure that review is up tonight or tomorrow, I swear it.

  19. kkte Says:

How much will the ignition mode be?

  20. Rob Says:

Starting to look better, may have to think about pick it up…
