MG Exia Ignition Mode Box Art

3558_1

Just what kind of box art pose is that?! D: That’s almost as bad as the Sword/Launcher Strike box. I do like the drawn look though as opposed to CGI. You’d think Bandai can come up with something better given Sword Impulse and Gouf 2.0′s boxart…

Picture and even post title jacked from the one and only Ngee Khiong ^^

I promise this’ll be my last MG Exia post until my very own arrives ^^;

    I wanted it to be cooler than that…

    However, the boxart is telling us that we MUST buy two MG Exias. @_@

  2. lilweiser Says:

    Well, somehow, the non-ignition box art is nicer than this :P But still, have pre-ordered this :P

  3. Chaosblade Says:

    Yeah, they shoulden’t have put two gundams in one box but it still dosen’t look that bad.

  4. AstrayP03 Says:

    looks disappointing =(

  5. tsukinari Says:

    Agreed… The artwork is awesome, but the pose is kinda meh, i thought it would have better pose than normal one.. and 2 MG Exia in that Box Art kinda confusing.. its like u got 2 MGs in the box lolz

  6. Chris Says:

    Haha, finally a new post or the previous one will be even more spammed. XD

    I was disappointed too. They made Exia look like some sort of heavy armour MS which is supposed to be a slim, fast-slashing melee MS. If you look at the Exia at the right, the limbs are all almost straight, like there’s no articulation at all.

    Virtue Exia, ikimasu!

    Meh, could be worse. But it IS rather uninspiring, considering how cool the kit should be.

    Doesn’t faze my excitement one bit, though! I already plonked down a pre-order for Ignition Mode at my local hobby shop. They’re expecting it to arrive 2nd or 3rd week of July. Woohoo!

  8. Rady Says:

    The boxart would look better without the RE mode, I think.. They should just put the RE pic on the side.

    But the overall artwork is just kickass :D.

  9. Chaosblade Says:

    @CKai Cydek – Darn! HLJ’s gonna have it at July 31. Wonder why they will get it so late?

  10. Zro Says:

    Agreed. Love the artwork, but the poses could have been better. That’s not stopping me from getting it though. :D

  11. ercjohn Says:

    does anyone know what the boxart for the normal mg exia is??? please post a link… thanks… XD

  12. CKai Cydek Says:

    Chaosblade, I dunno how HLJ’s shipping/distribution goes, but I do know they’re based in the US. I live in the Philippines, which being in Asia, is nearer, so we usually get stuff from Japan sooner.

    Personally, I think HLJ is just being cautious by stating they may get it AROUND July 31, since Bandai announced it would be released sometime in July. I’m taking what the hobby shop told me with a grain of salt – bottom line is, I just wanted to make sure to reserve a kit for myself. This is the first time I’ve ever done this for any model kit, but with this being a limited release, I found myself compelled to do so ^^;

    Pity about the boxart, but then again I’ve been spoiled by the Shin Musha’s – nothing I’ve seen thus far on Bandai’s boxes come close to that ^_^

    Must…..resist……….poison………….

    @Ckai,

    Wow, MG Exia is release on 23rd, meaning like it reach PH at 2 or 3 days ?? That’s fast ! Even in my hometown M’sia still took a week or so…..

    Dang.

  14. Chris Says:

    @sbhboi: A commercial stated MG Exia is released on 25th July. A more believable source?

  15. hono-san Says:

    Ew, the Exia’s head looks squished. I think Bandai made a bad choice for the box art. And for some people like me, we could never figure out(I could probably buy a model without knowing what gundam it was lolz) what gundam it is cuz the Exia is blocking it’s whole name.
    Too many GN Particles @_@

  16. Gunstray Says:

    I actaully like this Box art design compared to the regular ver.
    Liked the pixie dust/GN particle effect

  17. Chaosblade Says:

    @CKai Cydek – I’m also in the Philippines, HLJ guy is in the US, but their warehouse is in Japan and they buy directly form Bandai. By the way, what shop are you talking about and where is it?

  18. CKai Cydek Says:

    Chaosblade, the shop I’m talking about is Great Toys – they have branches in Alabang Festival Mall, Greenhills Shoppsville, and I’m not sure where else, as I only frequent those two.

    You can also try Wasabi Toys, Jebb’s Toys, and the Special Toy Center in Greenhills, though those shops don’t usually have even a rough schedule for when they get new stock, so it’s not too reliable.
