Some shots of my progress so far. Yes, I know they don’t look like much now and yes, they are very shiny but these are shots before “finalization” of the parts which you will all see when I’m done with the review :). It’s nothing special really but the irony of it is still worth hiding… xD
Here’s me being an idiot; I cut out the wrong head armor pieces (didn’t look in the manual), took 20 minutes to paint in the stripes THEN realized I cut out the wrong one xD. So I had to cut out the actual one and then spend another good 30 minutes painting in the “scars” for that one. It only takes five minutes to get the paint in but the meticulous work I have to do was a PITA. You know… making sure the paint is even, no “bleeding”, the layers are the same… and I think I could work on it some more if I still give a damn later, seeing how I did a better job on Ver. Ka’s head instead. Remember, it is all the finer details together that makes the Gundam model looks good overall ^^;.
The most badass face out of a Gundam. After seeing this face, I don’t think I could ever go back to that mellow look. This is just so much more sinister xD.

Ah, so it comes with the parts for Ver. Ka as aswell? That’s a pretty good amount of runners than isn’t it?

Dude that face is boss, the coolest looking gundam head of all time, I like how the eyes look like their glowing ^^ Are the eyes painted or stickered?

personally I think S-Gundam has a menacing face too!
It may be off the topic, but I am so excited that Exia is coming out soon! It just seems better and better as more information disclosed.

I was seriously considering getting either the Crossbone Ver. Ka or the Full Cloth, but complaints of loose joints and the relative similarities they have to the F91 is making me hesitate – the size in particular.
Though both versions have some wicked cool weaponry, I hear they both have trouble holding on to them…

Crossbone…I know there are 2 different faces of the skull for the body, right? The one shown here is the more cartoonish one?
Looking at the one sided red antenna thing reminds me of Cherudim’s one sided antenna too.
lol The way the “mouth” opens made the v-shaped vents looks useless….since heat is already released through the “mouth”.

Jacques, yup… and the only way to right that wrong is to turn this into a Ver. Ka… but I like that little feather on its head!
Ckai, I’m working on remedying that problem before I even finish the model… I’ll let everyone know how that goes in the review.
Chasis, no there is only one skull design and they all look more/less the same o_0
Siroh, that’s true too… GP02A does have a somewhat different mouth compared to other Gundams…

I might just go straight build my HG 00 Raiser DC or MG Wing Gundam Ka, which is uber overdue T_T,
still got MG Unicorn untouched.. haha
I need some advice on coloring tho.. what do u guys use for coloring tiny area like.. the eye and the vent on head?
also like the V-fin of HG 00 Gundam, i saw some ppl use toothpick.. but.. i can use fine-tip brush right?
does Gundam Marker (00) + brush works too? Im still learning.. >_<

gundam without a paint job & topcoat looks like a cheap plastic toy…
the first time i saw Crossbone’s open head mode, i thought the grey vents were its mustache, but now it looks more like a sinister grin.

There are two type of skulls for the Crossbone. The one in the Ver Ka version looks much more menacing to me as compared to the “cartooney” Full Cloth.
I also recently got a MG Crossbone, but just the Ver Ka. I don’t mind the size but a certain weapon can’t be held properly by the Crossbone. The socket for the connection to the palm just doesn’t work. =/
