For the first time ever, I am actually on time with a given deadline. I said in my other post that I would finish Turn A by Sunday… and completed I did ^^. Now on to photoshooting and writing up the review. I’ll point out that I won’t even need to top coat this model since it looks oh so damn good as is (a point I’d like to glorify). The level of shininess is equivalent to that of a semi-gloss top coat. Now on to the main purpose of this post: The sexy legs!
Look at those curves! o_o I don’t know how to describe it but… they sorta look like blades? The swoops just gives it a really dynamic look when posing :D The panel and seam lines, like the arms, are also nicely hidden so you just get smoothness from top to bottom.
Reflective eyes are still <3. Review to be complete as soon as I have the time.
One sad thing I found out is… unfortunately, my Hasegawa base doesn’t work at all with Turn A so I need to use my other bases for aerial shots… Ugh. I need to finish homework (essay) so I’ll disappear now. I apologize for not being able to reply to anything at this point ^^;.

Nice you’ve done it! You seem to have paced it well so it’s good!
I’ve always wondered what the stuff at the back of the legs. Saw them at Dalong but I still don’t have a clue about them. Take your time on the review; I shall be looking forward to this 100th and unusual looking MG ^^

Q: I’m sure you’ll find out by watching the White Doll (the nickname for Turn A in the anime) in action in its own anime (at least around Episode 12 and beyond). Or maybe in some video games where it’s rendered well enough (like Gundam vs. Gundam, for example). There are probably some YouTube videos of the White Doll in action that might help, if you’re not interested in watching the anime (though I would recommend it as it’s pretty good).
I’ve taken a good look at the recently-released and reviewed Robot Damashii version of the White Doll… I’m seriously considering getting it someday sooner or later, but I think the MG would come first for me. It looks a little better when finished and touched up a bit, at least. Both look like they’re articulated pretty well, too.

whoa. the legs look awesome. I get what u mean, Z. They add a nice kind of aura to the gundam. wow, it’s hard to describe ^^; Too bad I probably won’t be able to get this. I have Blue Frame 2nd L on my mind, and after that Unicorn.

Now thats some fine legs you got for the turn A lol ^^

Ah, the legs… the biggest attraction of Turn A for me. Even when I think the moustache is weird, the smooth flow of those legs curve is what make me look at this Gundam more.

Gah Siroh you could have just told me that those are thruster units – oh well it was just a quick search on its instruction manual so it’s ok.

Q: It seemed to me you haven’t watched the anime. Is it so wrong of me to prod you to watch it? :P

@ Siroh32:
I have only read the manga on serial magazines a long time ago, so my memory doesn’t serve me so well. Besides, busy schedules mean I don’t have much time to watch a lot of stuff at the moment. In fact I’ve stalled on a few series already.

Well, as I don’t know you much, I didn’t take what you mentioned into account, but I still feel it didn’t hurt to recommend watching the anime to you, Q, as I feel it’s worth watching at least someday when you have the time and interest.

Totally awesome!~

It’s ok. I don’t want to sound brash but I think I’ve accidently made it sound like so. Was expecting a direct answer rather than to look things up but it’s ok. I did plan to watch through as many Gundam series as possible, and the progress is a little slow…

Yep, you just gotta love the legs. XD

A shot of my Turn A with my Strike(taken with cam phone a while ago). XP
Another thing that many might like of the Turn A is its height(I do too). It basically towers most of the other 1/100 scales. ^^
Wait, where’s the MG Cow? >.>

@EXkurogane : hey i saw ur IJ on youtube. nice metallic painting mate ;D

I couldn’t think of anything witty for the topic so I just took “DANCE!” from the end of the 2nd OP “Century Color” xD.
Q, yea those are some weird thruster vents… but the thruster effects are pretty ^^. I couldn’t find the time to watch the Turn A anime so I opted to watch the movies instead (years ago). A bit paceful and harder to follow but still managed to pick up the bulk of the storyline just fine.
Rndm, wow… i haven’t compared the Turn A to the others yet… but damn… that IS towering o_0 Must be the legs xD
