A random post for today to look at a couple of things I’ve acquired over the week ^^.
Are you a big fan of food that is of the hot and spicy variety? I am but got recommended to cut back on them completely for awhile… that won’t be happening ^^;. One of my friends introduced me to Da’ Bomb sauce and damn… it’s HOT. Like you almost have to be a M to like the pain from it xD. This isn’t one of your garden-variety hot sauce since it has the potential to really send you to the hospital if misused (aka took it directly). It is rated at 119,700 scoville units (habanero level there). A few drops into a can of chili and your mouth can be hurtin’ (and probably the other end later on). Very efficient. Good stuff. Now on to other things…
Got a copy of the latest Dengeki Hobby with the Unicorn goody earlier this week ^^
Didn’t bother to put it together though… too lazy >_>. Now just skimping through the mag a little…
Even though it’s a custom-made model, this could almost pass for the inevitable MG Exia Avalanche from Bandai in the future xD
Can anyone explain this part to me? Two Red Frames? And isn’t that the master who created the Gerbera Straight? ^^
Silly Bumblebee Gundam is silly. This is where I stopped xD.
Have to do homework now. Oh, anyone have some ideas on who Turn A could fight in the review? ^^;

First and foremost, given your latest blurb… Would that make it two remakes (of your blog) per year, now? :P
As far as opponents for the White Doll, I’d start getting my inspirations from Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT (PLUS) or a given Super Robot Wars game, but wouldn’t restrict myself there. In either case, I’d find it fascinating to see Loran fighting a red Borjarnon with yet another masked pilot with skills similar to that of Harry Ord’s… (Thinking out loud here: I wonder if you could coreograph a fight similar to the kinds you’d see in the TAG anime or movies, but how you do it is up to you no matter what.)
Or have it go up against some fan-favorite Wing and/or SEED units? I’d lean towards Wing for the simple reason that I think you’ve used SEED and 00 kits in your fight choreography images before. How about hashing out and seeing how well the Wing MGs and/or HGs can do? Or how about giving the After War timeline some love with the Double X?
I’d recommend in my specific possible choices either the Zaku II S (which I’m sure would be identified as the “Red Borjarnon” in TAG) to be a little more in spirit of TAG MS fights, or Wing, mainly because I like the Wing ver. Ka (but you don’t necessarily have to choose that specific model) and your GW Gunpla (along with X) hadn’t been in a fight choreography of yours (not recently, at least).
In the end, I’d like to see what you’d go with in the end, be it one of my choices, or someone else’s, or one of your own that nobody thought of yet.

Yes, there are 2 red frames in the new VS Astray. The difference between the two is simple: their sword. The one piloted by Lowe, the gerbera straight sword looks like the one on your 1/100 Astray red frame, the one piloted by an old guy (a villian connected to the group Librarian and Rondo Mina Sahaku) the sword design is different, like the one on your PG Astray red frame (check the handle design). Maybe Mina’s grandfather? XD

I can estimate for you. Next year summer is Gundam 00 Movie release. So, maybe a month before the movie release Bandai release MG 00 Raiser and everyone buy. Then, the movie comes out and consequently their merchandises, and people like us are forced to spend more. Marketing strategy. lol

Who could Turn A fight….. maybe your MG Exia or Crossbone, or even RX-78-2 for the hammer showdown.

Wow, is this Dengeki Hobby’s response to the XN Raiser that Hobby Japan packed last month? Not as cool… but I love gunpla prizes with mags.

I m just curious… can some1 tell me what is that purple gundam on the front cover is called?
From my limited Japanese knowledge… it seemed to be Exia related….hm… but I don’t recall such a model.

Oh and I was checking Dalong’s page and he has the MG Blue Frame. I have a feeling for a MG Red Frame release now, Bandai can juss milk off the inner frame and recolor with a few extra trees.
About the Red Frame, In the Astray manga, the Gerbera Straight was mad by a lil old man. Sorta resembles ol’ Muramasa(?) of Ninja Gaiden.

i agree with Isaiah, though it might be nice to throw in Crossbone X-1 instead of F-91, mainly cuz he might be able to hold his own better than F-91. It would be over for F-91 real soon. Probably get turned into sashimi.

Err…an appearance of a bee + gundam? That so uncool. Just plain weird. But hey at least it comes with nice gift though ^^’.
Yeah, the storyline for VS Astray is quite confusing abit, not just there’s 2 RF fighting each other, but revive from the death, Prayer from X Astray series. He suppose to be dead after that series, but then suddenly he appeared in that Nix Providence.

I read from gundam wikia and it was stated that Prayer didn’t die -he faked his death so convince Canard to move on and forget him. Many people asked me about this too, in fact, when i saw Nix Providence, i had long suspected Prayer is the pilot because Prayer is only one of the few in SEED (other than Mu La Fllaga & his clones, Kira Yamato and Morgan Chevalier) that are capable of controlling wireless weapons (has spatial awareness).

This is what happens when you make wayyy too many side stories for the sake of who knows what (*cough*models*cough*). The story, plots, and characters all become convoluted and you get confused about what is what >_>. I lost track… how many Astray stories are there now? ^^;
Keep the ideas flowin’… I won’t be getting near the end any time soon ^^;

lol… I know nothing about Gundam 00 Side stories yet, but since i am a SEED fan, i know most of the Astray series story. VS Astray is after the final 2nd Valentine War (after end of SEED Destiny). A continuation that some else is happening “at the other places” during the final war. Typical side story.

I have read that the Prayer is actually a clone of the original Prayer which is dead.
This new Prayer is similar to the other Mina sibling that somehow got revived. I guessed they started to clone a lot of people so that even the Gerbera Straight maker came back out w/ a new RF too.

Delta Astray is actually a photonovel, with a few short sentences describing the ongoing stuff. I read it from the monthly Dengeki Hobby magazine. The story is also related to a novel, SEED Destiny Astray (although there’s a simpler version manga for this one), then followe by SEED Frames Astray (fan manga that was initially unofficial, but got approved later). Anyone of you who has a Gundam Astray Green Frame kit, hahah, don’t be surprised it is designed by a Gundam fan like us and became official… This VS Astray, i guess, is a continuation after the ones i mentioned.
What i don’t understand is Kaite Madigan who previously piloted the Divine Testament Gundam (which was destroyed by Proto-Savior), he is piloting Regen Duel and a part of Librarian group under Mina… Is he a Villian???

From what I’ve read on SRW hotnews, the other Red Frame is a replica with the sword “Tiger Pierce”. That sword was available via the special set of Astray Red Frame PG.

He was so fascinated by Z’s reviews that he felt like buying the MG that Z has reviewed. First is Crossbone Full Cloth, then now even before Z review the Turn A, the influence is so strong that he bought Turn A and decided to also watch the anime.
