I’ve received an e-mail from HLJ and wow… I’m guessing HLJ either 1) has too much inventory 2) REALLY want people to get into their new paypal billing agreement 3) loves to give free shipping 4) are just that nice. In case you’ve missed it the first (paypal billing introduction) and second (black friday sale) time, here’s yet another chance to grab stuff from Japan without having to pay a dime for EMS shipping. Of course, the catch again is that you must buy that one of their “blow-out sale items”. You won’t be able to see the items now and the sale doesn’t start until Monday (7th.. in Japan of course). Just wanna get this out there for those who are interested since it’s not even posted on their site yet.
My first order with the shipping promo was for the 1/144 Seravee and some Gurren Lagann stuff. The second time for the GFFMC RX-78-2 Ver. Ka, cherudim, and lancelot. The third time… my order haven’t came in yet ^^;. Not sure if there’s anything else I want for the fourth order o_O

when you announced the first free shipping from hlj, I didn’t take it, when I realized it, it was too late.
But I have used the second and third.
For the fourth, I’m not that sure… I want to get some of the myth clothes and something which is cheap but super heavy….. (can I buy raw steel from hlj?.. lol)
I bought 1/100 double x g falcon in the third round, since it’s just big.. he4x..
I want to get pg 00 in the third round, but then again.. pg 00 is not my taste…. for me hg 00 is much better…

Aaaaaand EMS shipment means here in the Netherlands a sure check at the customs, meaning to pay more. Sometimes a lot.

Yeap… Here in Switzerland too… I once paid about 100 francs for 2MGs (delivery included) and they taxed me 50 francs. I was like WTF! (sorry for the language)

It’s the same in Poland. I ordered only once with EMS shipping and paid the tax which was almost half the value of the model…
But I will see maybe I will buy something^^

A lot of companies do free shipping because the gain in sales outweighs the loss to shipping. That’s why Amazon and NewEgg do free shipping on a large part of their inventory. This is especially true for online shops, since they are basically warehouses with a virtual storefront.

Yes, you need to have your paypal account ready before hand. And choose paypal at your payment billing agreement method when you order your stuff with hlj.

Haha, I got that Zeonography Qubeley Mk. II too, simply beacuse it was the cheapest Gundam Black Friday item!
I got it with PG 00 Raiser which was good because it meant free shipping and 25% off! Import and VAT on the PG are gonna be a bitch though, considering the size of the box… =S

I am so glad the US doesn’t have BS such as import fees/customs ^^; (but we have plenty of BS elsewhere). I can see why some of you would still hesitate even with free shipping since it is almost negated by other fees. Lame o_O
