FedEx dropped off a package from Japan earlier today. This will be my last loot for the year… it is also the biggest ^^;. If you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you can probably guess this is my HLJ Black Friday order. Let’s see what is inside this little box…
Oh ho! I’ve finally got my hands on a RD figure and it is none other than Turn X. Sadly, the 007S wasn’t in stock at the time of the sale but oh well. I’m surprised to see that it is almost the size of a 1/144 as well. Let’s see if this thing will be a gateway to more RD reviews in the future…
Die-cast display model of the Nissan GT-R… with engine sound! This was the item I chose for the black-friday blowout sale :D. Don’t think this is Gundam-related? The GT-R’s lines were partly influenced by Gundam!
I also bought some waterslide decals for Strike Freedom and Destiny but I didn’t bother with a photo for those. Now for the grand loot…
*ahem* I know I strongly bashed this thing and even canceled my original order (which was a GREAT idea) but… I thought, 25% off PLUS free shipping (final price was ~$200… where it could’ve been ~$380)? Even if I don’t want this thing, I thought I should still pick it up. When all is said and done, I’ve probably saved over $150 ^^; (assuming the real price for this thing is around ~$350 after shipping in other places)
HUGE box… no intention of building it… no room to store it… my mom will be yelling at me ^^;. I’m sure I can make something if I sell it.. It makes for a good footrest though. Not sure if I want to order the clear parts for it either (frankly, I really don’t care about it) since HLJ told me that I need a brand new 00 Raiser as you can’t really swap the parts (think MG Exia Ignition Mode… but more risks). So it is either one or the other… or buy two 00 Raisers. LAME.
The complimentary display base in the size of a HG 1/144 box. And that’s all in the box.
New review will be posted tonight! While I’m not sure that I’ll be able to squeeze out one last MG review by the end of the year, I can probably put out a few more easier reviews and share some new stuff that’s different from the usual ^^.

I did think of getting the RD Turn-X earlier in the year, when HLJ had a 40%? or so discount on it… But plans came to nothing… 00 Raiser eh? Call me pessimistic, but I think the earliest we’ll see a review here would be… end of next year?

JJ, I Know it can. That post was wayyy before the thing got confirmed and I stand corrected. Not that it really mattered to me because that wasn’t the main reason I didn’t like the kit^^;

Dude i think you should build the 00 raiser because the problem of the gn drives not able to rotate and do certain poses is fixed.so you should give it a try…..

i use firefox becuse i have had problem with IE crashing and running slow.
ya i think Z got a PG Astray,PG Strike Gundam with aile striker pack to. why buy them if you dont plan on puting them together.

Regarding building a PG, let’s say it involve a small amount of blood “donating”, during construction. :P

Heheheheheheheh… Ahaahahahahahahahahahahah! I knew it! I knew you couldn’t help yourself! Are you just being predictable on purpose? :P I didn’t predict it’d be this fast though, and you not only that, you went overkill by getting the PG 00 Raiser, too! Should I predict within three months the arrival of those Z-Plus GFF Metal Composite figures you canceled a while back? Or how about a Unicorn upon its release as the next MC? It’s much easier to guess you’ll be getting one of the RD Unicorns (or definitely the V2 after its release) within, say, three months. Especially since I’ve seen positive reviews about RD figures (I saw pictures of one of the latest soon-to-come CG figures that made a big deal about how it had its legs connected to the skirt armor for a change)…
While I look forward to the GFF MC and RD reviews (the latter especially, though I might get the Turn A first), and the rest of your reviews because I like how you do reviews, I must say, Z, you’ve given me a good laugh today. (Well, I had to force it down to a verbal chuckle after a visit to the dentist, but it’s still a good laugh.)
Now be skeptical about or say you won’t order more RD figures like the Turn A and Unicorns and others, and also say you won’t be getting a PSP and Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS. Oh, and deny getting series-specific 1/144s for the sake of nostalgia. I’ll be looking forward to those reviews soon after. :P

Siroh, I’ve also predicted that you would be pointing stuff like that out when I make this post ^^;. The Turn X should be no surprise though… I’ve talked about getting over and over and I’ve actually ordered and canceled it quite a few times this year. It took 25% off and free shipping to get me to buy it xD. I won’t doubt other RD yet but you can be sure I won’t be touching the GFFMC Unicorn (I like my MG more). Mark my words!

lol.. yea.. the best deal at that time is pg 00 or 1/144 dygenguar. you have made the right decision.
I have no room to store it anymore… I have no chance to build any gunpla.. I just paint the runner all the time… even my MG strike freedom still waiting for around 1 year to be painted… (maybe another year to be built? lol).
This PG will need to wait.. maybe around … uumm.. 7-8 years.. lol.. by that time, new PG and new offer will come..

Z got… another PG… and the 00 raiser too… HOLLY SHIAT IS THE WORLD GOING TO END? o w8, i think that’s just Z getting scolded by his mom… ya, sry bout that, just couldnt resist. But are u sure it’s a good idea? i mean, no space, no PG experience, 3 PGs already (if u count the skygrasper with Aile) that u havent even assembled (heck, u might not have even looked at the runners o.0) and your mom to scold u to boot. and all those NUB MARKS!!! and PG 00 will have more since the hands arent preassembled… I wish u luck with your mom, Z *salutes*

Unexpected or expected? I kinda felt this was expected since you DO already have the PG Strike and Astray Red Frame after all(even though you earlier said you canceled your order). All you needed was the newest popular guy – 00 Raiser. Darn, where do you get all ye cash from? Didja rob a bank or something? XP
You definitely must review the RD Turn X… and also get the RD Turn A! >)
