I don’t remember the last time I opened the box to this model. It’s been years ^^;. Well… I think it’s about time it see the light of day right? or what little of it there is during this time of the year here.Before I start, just thought I’d glance over what I’m up against before actually starting on it so I can calculate how long it’ll take me.
So hardcore. A construction manual AND an instruction manual xD.
Who the hell named this sword “Grand Slam”?!
Funky looking pre-assembled hands. While it saves me time, I’m not sure of any other real benefits. Don’t they become loose over time like any normal hands?
Wanted to talk about about the inner frame parts and stuff but camera ran out of battery ^^;. It’s not like you all don’t know how this model is like anyway. This PG came out in 2004 after all…

Cool. But i dun have the cash for a PG now… =.=

A PG is probably the last thing on my mind at the moment since I’m currently low on cash.
I was thinking of abstaining myself from buying any plamo for the next half of the upcoming new year. But looking at the future release Bandai have for us, I am fighting hard to resist them.

Two manuals. Yeah, that’s PG for you. :D
Don’t worry about the fingers, even after five years, my PG WZC’s fingers still solid to move, in other words: not loose.
A friend of mine mentioned: a true Gundam should have at least one PG. And he’s a proud owner of a PG Gundam MkII.

pretty neat.^^ the number of runners motivates me to put them together. how tall is this guy after he’s been finished?
December 21, 2009 at 2:53 AM
guess i will be a true gundam owner the next time when a UC PG is out
December 21, 2009 at 3:13 AM
PG’s not up my list yet. They’re just basically just larger versions of MG. Tempted to get Astray Red Frame but the FAT legs prevented me from doing so. ^^

@bd77
Haha, then get PG skygrasper, cheap… XDXDXD Also PG right??? Currently i have no interest in any PGs. I’m a 00 Gundam hater, so, goodbye to 00 Raiser. And, i already had 3 MG Strikes (Rouge, IWSP and Noir) and MG Astray Red Kai is out next year, definitely with a slim design which i prefer over the PG fat legs. So, practically i dont have any PG i coud buy. About PG Zeta, the MG looked nicer and it’s an old kit…

ersonally the best PG looks to be the Mark II.

I used to think this was an awesome model, the sword is what got me. But I’ll stick with 1/100 scale models, 1/60 scale would seem out of place with my other models.
December 21, 2009 at 6:24 AM
i just dont like PG kits. they just waste money. MG’s are better. but HGUC’s are far more better. you gotta love honing your modelling skills on HGUC’s. that’s the reason why im so attached to HGUC’s. XD
December 21, 2009 at 6:45 AM
hey Z i have a question if your cameraa has files starting with img_ etc. etc. how do you upload them onto word press?
December 21, 2009 at 7:54 AM
I guess some of yall never put a PG grade together there not even close to MG. MG are easy compared to mosted PG. like my resent PG OO reiser stuck for 35 mins trying to figer out why the lock mechanism for the lower arm wouldn’t go in. i relised look at the manual that i had a part backwards. Or look at the PG wing zero custom that wireing deal is night mare for the light i never could get the lights to work. it not like im going to use the lights much anyways
December 21, 2009 at 8:24 AM
i say go with the PG astray in the backround ;)
December 21, 2009 at 9:04 AM
you don’t sound the least bit enthu bout’ building this kit. XD
December 21, 2009 at 9:08 AM
OWH MAH GAWD!!! IT HAS REALLY STARTED!!!
I’m glad you at least started taking a look at the box of this guy…I’m guessing the review won’t be until sometime in March, hunh?
I just went to my hobby store yesterday to pick up my christmas gift and they had two PG Strikes in stock for $150. (good price?)
But I turned them down and got the MG Black Tri Stars ZAKU II from the UC line…as well as the MG RX-78-2 Ver. 2.0. (Despite the fact that I liked Ver. Ka better, the 2.0′s frame design was just too irrisistable.)
Happy building! ^^;

o.0 whoa. is this some sort of gunpla-inochi chrismas thing??? i mean, you’re actually starting your PGs! ^0^ I wonder what a Z-ified PG strike looks like… anyway, merry chrismas! ^^

PG Strike is NOT just a larger version of MG. The entire frame is much more complex, the articulation is much more improved, some panels and hatches can be displayed open, the detail are much more awesome (because it takes references from Gundam Evolve version of Strike). The pre-assembled hand may make it easier to build and more resistant to become loose, but it may make it more difficult to clean-up the nubs.
Overall it’s very fun to build, and because the Strike is designed to be improved (with its whole load of striker packs) I plan to scratch build some custom striker packs for it.
Trust me, it’s goooood.
Btw, I got my PG Strike for about $115 (sale items from hlj.com) and my PG Skygrasper for about $65 (local store). Quite a bargain considering the price combined is 19000yen.

The PG Strike is pretty awsome…
Have fun with the thing and merry christmass.^^

*christmas ;)

bd77, you’re the first person to tell me that the PG WZC’s hands are solid xD.
Erazer, almost double the Height of its MG counterpart.
C, when I’m making a post, there’s just a button that lets me upload photos, select file, and go ^^;
Ed, yup… not one bit… but that’s just me^^;
Lelouch, probably. Considering school starts on the 4th of Jan for me. Come to think about it, I think Sinanju took me all the way from Jan to March/April too.
Allen, it’ll look like a OOB PG Strike xD
JJ, do show off your custom packs when you get around to finishing it :D.
