’twas a boring day so I made Oden for dindins today to make something slightly exciting ^^. Oden （おでん） is a Japanese pot dish usually consisting of various fish cakes, konnyaku, tofu, and whatnot in some hondashi broth. The pot I made wasn’t exactly authentic but hey, it provided for a quick meal xD.
I’ll make sure this will be the first and last time I order a magazine from Japan ^^;. Even though I picked SAL for shipping, I still ended up forking over 1680 yen for shipping! Didn’t think it would be that high… That’s more expensive than the magazine’s ~1300 price tag! So yea… not feeling too good when I saw I paid ~$30 for a magazine that I couldn’t really understand… but at least I got the head display ^^;.
“I… Can give you Gatsby… Gya-tsu-biii! Gya-tsu-biii!”… Mandom’s Gatsby (Lucido line for girls) is a popular Japanese brand offering “beauty care” products aimed at guys which includes everything from hair wax, face wash, lotions, hair color, etc… and even eyebrow scissors o_0. I’ve been using some of their stuff (hair wax, hair water, lotion, face wash, cologne) for a couple of years now but you know… I really hate it when I buy something and can’t use it properly on my part xD. Case in point: Gatsby Moving Rubber (hair wax). Been using the hair wax (the strongest one: Spiky Edge) occasionally for the past two-ish years (usually more frequent after haircuts) but never seem to yield the results I wanted XD.
Since I’ve made a WISP post on every part of the PG Strike then figured might as well show the weapons as well ^^;.
I am officially in the slow days again ^^;. Less updates and slower progress on models. School has finally caught up to me. Well, the good thing is that at least I finished construction of the PG Strike and I’m just doing touch ups here and there so hopefully I can still get the review out by the end of the month. Other than that, I’ll be typing up essays again… haha. Oh, I still need to type up “Gunpla and Photography 2″… hopefully, I’ll get around to that soon. For those of you in school, how is it coming along?
Please disregard the last post. I’ve been trying to upload these for the past few hours ^^;. Before some of you get all skeptical this time around, this IS the actual PG Strike’s head XDDDDD.
Creepy looking isn’t it? XD. Sorta reminds me of those Cyborgs or whatever from Mortal Kombat. I’ve been trying to make this post for awhile now but uploading images on here is not cooperating at the moment. I’ll try to update REAL soon once I can! Got more to show ^^;
I’ve finally pulled the trigger on the Macbook Pro… but unfortunately, it was my wallet that took the bullet ^^;. I needed a laptop for school so I didn’t bother waiting until Apple update their line-up again. 4-5 years from now (the next time I expect a new laptop), “today’s” tech will be outdated anyway.
Finally got these in the mail today from Gundamstoreandmore (US site). Two “Gundam Mekki Silver” Gundam markers, one Gundam Gold marker, and one Gundam eraser just to try it out of curiosity. They were recommended by a regular here (Lelouch) and thought it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try ^^. a I also wanted the HGUC RX-78-2 30th Anniversary edition but sold out >_<
八寶粥, or Ba Bo jaergh(however you spell out the pronunciation of “congee” in Cantonese) or “eight treasure(?) congee” is probably one of the healthiest Chinese dessert/food out there… provided that it is not infused with a ton of sugar. As the name implies, it usually contains eight or more ‘healthy” ingredients such as brown rice, beans, longans, peanuts, lotus seeds, and bunch of other stuff I don’t know the names of. Good source of iron and dietary fiber methinks. It’s probably so healthy that not even seasoning it with top coat will have an adverse effect on my health…
