Some of you may recall that my manager is a full-fledge otaku and her favorite Gundam series is none other than Gundam Wing. I am sure you can guess the reasons why (hint: it has nothing to do with the Gundams). Anyway, saw these two books at her house and borrowed it for the lulz. I was quite surprised at the amount of Gundam images in this book… >_>. Let’s have a look through, shall we?
“Dear Winter, you suck.” to quote Lupes. Really though, winter is such an un-gunpla-friendly (gunpla-unfriendly?) season. It’s not cold enough here to snow where I can stay home and build models with some free time but it’s not warm enough (nor dry enough) where I can finish the very last process of my project: Topcoating. I’m 100% done with my MG Destiny and I REALLY look forward to reviewing it but I ran into some disaster today while trying to topcoat the parts.
Awesome… finally got to pick this up at my local Kinokuniya. Man, they sure get their stuff late o_O. And no, I do not have a HG 00 Qan[T] yet… >_>.
Batman, your Gundam has arrived! I know the Batman line is a bit of a cliche but this is the biggest homage yet! This has got to be one of the best visual representation of a Gundam ever! Instead of the usual cool pose with a chaotic battlefield in the back, you get a more symbolic “be one with the night” portrayal; there are BATS everywhere! In front of the moon! I don’t remember seeing any bats in Gundam Wing! nor in any Gundam series for that matter. This boxart is just bat$#!* awesome! And yes, it is worth talking about! I wish there is a bigger size so I can make it my wallpaper!
If you really look at it though… aren’t the bats kinda big? like almost human-sized? or maybe Deathscythe shrunk? xD
“Solomon! I have returned!”… Gonna start making this post regularly “every now and then” where I gloss over interesting Gunpla news, share my thoughts and get feedback from you.
As I wait for better days to come so I can finish topcoating the MG Destiny, I guess it is more time efficient to start on another project than doing nothing. While this is my first time working on more than one project at a time, I’ve seen other modelers who work on 3-5 different models at a time ^^;. I’m not sure if I should really start on this though since I have another model coming later this week and I want to work on that too. I’ve also toyed with the idea of just building as much Gunpla as I can until December then review them all at once but you probably won’t forgive me for that xD.
Would you be willing to try your favorite grilled octopus puff ball like this?
Oh how I’ve always wanted this game like ten years ago but I could never afford it (it was $75 in store). Back then, it looked so awesome to have all the Gundam series (pre-SEED) in one game! It’s like SRW… but with only Gundams! I didn’t get to play this game until much later on in life and was sadly disappointed with the controls and animation; I’d much prefer the gameplay style of SRW @G (the only SRW game I had at the time) ^^;. What was incredibly awesome though was the sure amount of animated CGs this game contained.
