Well, as I was assembling my latest model (I just basically finished it), it just felt like the plastic I was assembling was more fragile than the PC parts used for the joints; that if I ever had a Gunpla made out of such material, if I were to try repeating a mistake I made with my Sandrock model, I wouldn't have another Zeong-esque Gunpla.

I think there's a reason why Bandai doesn't make gunplas out of the polycap materials... it's too soft and if the design of the parts are too complicated (more than the joint design I supposed) then you risk warps/impurities/fitment issues unlike those of action figures/GFF. Just a thought...

This may be a simple question with an answer of Captain Obvious-potential, but since it just popped into my head as I'm building my next model, I want to ask... Has Bandai ever made Gunpla (or even any model) completely out of what's used for joints in Gunpla? I mean, imagine a Gunpla--any Gunpla (like another RX-78 for example)--with only PC runners? I mean, as I'm twisting them off, you have very little-to-no nubs after you twist them off... Is it that I'm just describing unassembled Gundam figures, essentially? Or...? *shrug*

Real easy, get some paint, Mr Hobby thinner and appropriate brushes.

For fine detailing, you can get the small brush that Z uses. I usually use markers for fine detailing, so I paint with a regular art brush :/

Mix a bit of paint with the thinner. Don't use up the whole bottle straight away :O

Probably start with a kit you don't mind messing up, like HGs or SD/BBs. My first painted kit was a HGUC Kampfer, painted it a rocking metallic blue. Very easy, just make sure the paint isn't too thick or too runny. Too thick, and you can see the brush strokes. Too runny, and the original color comes up from below the coat :|
