Confession: Despite having mostly Gundam stuff, I love Genesic GaoGaiGar more than any Gundam… heck, just GaoGai(Fai)Gar in general. There’s just this incredibly menacing look to it and it has a rather badass name that strikes intimidation upon hearing it. GENESIC!
King of Braves GaoGaiGar is actually my most favorite mecha series and quite frankly, I rather believe in courage, love, hotblood, and passionate screaming>>>>>>>everything than angst, sorrow and depression>>>>everything. Hey, I’m more of a Super Robot person than RR.
I remembered I pre-ordered this figure when it was first announced… only to have to wait about half a year for it to be released thanks to it being delayed multiple times. I was ohhhhh so happy to finally see it in the mail!
You would think the main intention of the provided white gloves was so that you won’t leave fingerprints on the figure but after handling the figure, I would say it’s more for your own protection from all the sharp points >_>
*CUES FINAL FUSION*
GAOO…GAI….GARRRRRRRR!
Okay… although this figure is only about 7 inches, it weighs probably over 2-3 pounds. Very heavy and very hard to handle. Most of the weight comes from the die-cast metal construction.
Besides looking sharp, GaoGaiGar is also quite literally sharp. It’s not too hard to pierce yourself as there are plenty of sharp edges ^^;. The FINAL Ver. comes with the above three hands you see above and that is the only difference between it and the original Genesic GGG.
The wings took some time to manipulate it to open but it looks that much more awesome. I especially love the design on the back; the wings look like it has ancient eyes.
GADGET FEATHER!
BROKEN MAGNUM!!!
I remember how the Broken Magnum really was a broken attack in SRW@3… it can casually do up to 32k worth of damage on grunts without hotblood!
PROTECT SHADE!!!
“I… will…destroy… ALL OF YOU!”
WILL KNIFE!
Why a knife and not a sword?
BOLTING DRIVERRRR!!!
There are two other bits included as well. Forgot their names ^^; and whoops… the Bolting Driver is on the wrong hand xD.
“The right to live…That is something that is earned… BY OVERCOMING LIFE’S HARDSHIPS!”
GADGETO TOOL!!!
HELL AND HEAVEN!!!
Gemu Giru Gan Go Gufou…
VITAAA!!!
Really appreciate Max Factory for putting in the effort to allow the figure to reenact Hell and Heaven almost faithfully.
The base that comes with GGGG is solely for display and storage as you can’t really do action poses on it. Nonetheless, it’s a very good looking display base but it collects dust wayyy too easily.
“This is the power that the G-Stone holds when combined with a person’s courage! THE POWER FOR ABSOLUTE VICTORY!”

“LIVE ON WITH THE OATH OF COURAGE”
As you can probably already tell, this figure isn’t exactly articulated (the arms can’t bend even near 45 degrees nor can the legs lift up) but I think it did the most it could given its rather bulky design. I don’t care if I can’t reproduce “FINAL FUSION” because I rather have GGGG with better proportions and articulation than it being bulkier and more restricted than it already is (like some of the other GGG figures out there). The thing I’m most disappointed with is that it doesn’t come with the Goldion Crusher. I’d say this is the best figure of Genesic GGG can get but unfortunately, the price is also a bit high up here as well ^^;.

Ogre, I’ve also been waiting for a Revoltech version as well ^^
Eyeshield, I wish they would make the Goldion Crusher into a figure ^^;
December 4, 2008 at 10:48 AM
I so called it.
Dunno about a Revoltech, but there’s a figure coming from CM Corporation which will have to do for now:

I saw that thing earlier and I find the sculpt and paintjob to be very hideous ^^;

Yeag,must be very2 big! It can be as big as your room! ^^;
z it must be very destructive to your wallet,lol, how much this figure is??
Are they make king jader too?
December 5, 2008 at 12:53 PM
hmm… I got this figure last year and I think it was ~$200. I wish they make a King Jader… it would probably be a foot tall. :D

[...] I dreaded building both of them >_>. On a random note, my favorite non-Gunpla review is Genesic GaoGaiGar [...]

Too bad that i doesnt disasemble into different parts. Just like in the movie, Final fusion?
May 12, 2009 at 12:14 AM
I prefer that it doesn’t because then the proportion wouldn’t be ruined and the figure is more solid.
May 15, 2009 at 7:25 PM
Yea true. Sorry to ask but where is the devining driver?
May 16, 2009 at 12:14 AM
GGGG doesn’t have one. He has the bolting driver instead.

AAARRRGGHHHH!!! This one looks pretty AWESOME!!! I love GGG too, but can’t afford it…hicks :(
July 3, 2009 at 8:10 PM
Not done with GGG yeat, but sweet God do I want this! But…that price! ;~;
I may be interested in that CM’s one, but this one just looks so much better.

awesome looking model and I totally agree on how much overkill this guy gives in super robot wars (awesome game series)
April 10, 2010 at 8:11 AM
Hey Z, I ahve heard people say that if you put GGGG on its provided stand for too long, it will eventually break the pin holding the two legs apart.
Is this true? And is this version of GGGG fragile? Reasons for asking this are because of this video that was posted on Youtube just two days ago. Here’s a link to it:
April 11, 2010 at 2:15 PM
Well… that video proved it to be true xD. I have my GGGG for… I forgot, 3 years now? and it’s still fine. *knock on wood* Yes the model is fragile but also very heavy and very hard. It sucks to play with it.
May 7, 2011 at 4:13 PM
ROFLMFAOBBQ owned. My Max Factory Mazinkaiser is fine standing on its display without being propped up :D
Although the hip joints feel loose as sh*t after a whiile, still very sturdy!! And good thing about it is that the screw holes are COVERED!
Btw Z found the Deformover Alt and Weiss in the Garage..

No love for the Brave Gokin GGGG?
November 26, 2011 at 2:33 AM
I have this figure as well, and you’re right…it’s VERY pointy. Unfortunately, the gloves dont fit my hands, but it makes little difference to me. I Don’t know much about the Gos series, other than the main character is all about courage and screams his head off (also, that he plays Viral in Gurrn Lagann). However, I did do some research on this thing, since I wanted to know what I bought. If I’m not wrong, When it does the Hell and Heaven thing, isn’t it supposed to lose 3 links from its tail? I tought they break apart to make its hands black. Honestly, I can’t blame you. Mine is posed the exact same way, even with the full Gadget tail. Great review!
