Now that the series of food posts are done with, let’s go right back into Gunpla. I am finally getting back the hang of building and reviewing gunpla, shaking off most of the rust so things should start picking up shortly again. It’s not much but here’s a good start- A review for the HG 1/144 Sergei’s Tieren Taozi (All Region Type), complete with an omake. Enjoy! :)

For our last day in SF, we decided on Chinese food for a change. Starting the day out with dim sum…
As the title implies, this post is all about the Jesta which I think is coming out very soon. I still haven’t watched Gundam UC Episode 3 yet so I don’t know how these guys perform (So NO SPOILERS OF ANY SORT PLEASE!). Well… I certainly hope they don’t turn out like its grunt cousin ReZEL (looks amazingly badass but spends most of its screen time getting shot down). As Ckai pointed out, the Jesta takes a few design cues from Unicorn and you can see it on the knees and shoulders though obviously, these guys are far from being a MP Unicorn. I think I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again: I think Gundam UC has the best grunt design in any Gundam series I’ve seen so far; there is just no design that I don’t like coming out of this series. I mean… it’s pretty impressive to get me to like the Jegan (Stark) and any GM variations since I’ve always hated Feddie grunts.
Located in Japantown, I heard this place was pretty awesome for handmade soba and udon…
There were so many “first times” for me during the road trip. First time in SF, first time to six flags, now first time for shabu shabu. ALL I CAN EAT SHABU SHABU!
Why use those solid-colored beam effect parts when you can use the longer, clear ones that fit just as well?
I was thinking of making just one giant epic food post with 100+ photos but that wouldn’t do some of the food justice and wouldn’t make you as hungry (which is the whole point of this… right?). So here we go…
Still a bit exhausted from this trip ^^;. Though my friends and I spent about five days in California, we really only had ONE day for sightseeing and touring (mainly San Francisco). We spent the entire Friday driving there, the weekend at a training camp, one day at Six Flags, which left us with one day to play around before heading back to Boredland. All of us kinda regretted leaving so soon but hey, there is always next time.

That’s right… I’m done. I’m actually done. I figured I rather get this done now instead of later so I have one less thing to worry about when I am away. For one too many reasons, my plan to go to Japan this summer went down the drain. In return, I am going on a road trip to California with my friends instead. Not a bad trade off considering that I still get to leave Oregon ^^;.
We’re gonna mainly hit up Six Flags then San Francisco afterward. It’ll be my first time visiting both places. San Francisco! CHINATOWN! JAPANTOWN! TIME TO EAT! ^o^ Oh I’m so going to eat with a vengeance…
Anyone here lives in the Bay Area and can point out some great Chinese (preferably Cantonese) restaurants? Be it dim sum, seafood, or noodles… I just want some ideas. I kinda don’t trust Yelp… Oh yea! And where’s a good place to pick up Gundam models at a decent price in Chinatown or Japantown? Maybe I can finally hunt down a few on my to-get list…
I’ll bring my laptop with me so hopefully I can find time to update at the hotel or something. Even though I might be gone (again), the Gundoom review will be done tomorrow (Saturday)… I SWEAR TO GOD GUNDAM! >:D
