Compared to its HG boxart and other MG boxarts such as the 00 Raiser, Epyon, and DSH, the 7Sword boxart looks… disappointly mundane. Kinda unexciting. Unfitting. But of course, the boxart can be the most boring thing in the world and it wouldn’t matter because we all know just how awesome 7S is, right? ^^.
Grabbed this from Danny. It is finally completed and fully operational (straight with THE all-too-familiar Gundam boot-up sound effect). Yes it looks awe-inspiring from the many photos but I think it is also safe to say that one look at this statue in person and a huge wave of inspiration will channel through the eyes of the person, instantly igniting the gunota passion. Ah yes… looking at the abundance of photos of this magnificent artwork has indeed sparked my childhood love for Gundams and all things mecha. I can only imagine myself being hynotized into a crazed Gunota again if I were to be standing in front of this RX-78-2 in person. Truly Glorious…
Just repeat everything I said for the last WISP; the same thing applies here as well. That should be obvious by now :). The retro design actually looks “worse” in person than in pictures…
Okay, gotta bounce…
Amazing how many itty bitty pieces there are in this model. There might be only 11 runners but wow, the pieces are tiny!
The body mechanisms are gunpla engineering at its finest. I so didn’t want to put on the outer armor panels…

On another note… The RX-78-2 Gundam Ver 2.0 came out yesterday and I’ve already received my email notification from rainbowten.co.jp that it has been shipped to me already ^o^.
Even though it’s work in slow progress, the model is already half done ^_^. I painted the thrusters just to test new things out and used various nub spots throughout the body to discover new techniques for hiding them so there might be random off-colored dots here and there xD.
Here’s what I got done so far. Exactly what you see… only the legs xD. There’s a lot of panel lines, clear stickers, and decals to stick on. It’s quite… Excessive. I like it though and I can’t wait till it is complete…
This will be my precursor to the upcoming RX-78-2 Ver 2.0 which will be released next week… so it’ll be done by then xD
Also… my next few reviews will also be the RX-78-2 Gundam (beside the 2.0) in some form :D
